The Minister of Agriculture, Ms. Thoko Didiza, announced today that veterinary services will be allowed to continue during the upcoming lockdown period.
We will continue to provide 24 hour essential and necessary veterinary procedures, and of course, emergencies.
Certain routine procedures such as vaccinations, sterilizations, anal glands and pedicures will be deferred.
For our safety and yours, we ask that only one healthy person per pet comes to the practice by appointment only, and that they notify reception of their arrival by telephone and then wait in the car for assistance.
Visiting hours will be for critical ICU patients only (with approval from the vet), from 20h00 – 21h00. Once again, we request only one person per pet.
Our pet food suppliers will continue to deliver pet food, as will our drug suppliers. If you require medicine to be dispensed during this time, please call ahead and allow 24 hours before collection.
All the staff at Fourways Veterinary Hospital wish you courage and fortitude in this unprecedented time.
