The Owl Rescue Centre NPC focuses on the rescue, rehabilitation and release of injured owls and other species in need of care. The sanctuary is actively involved in the education of learners, students, the community and the general public about the necessity of owl conservation.

The aim of the Colour an Owl art competition is to create awareness and a vested interest in protecting owls and other species among the youth in general as well as raising much needed funds for the sanctuary.

In South Africa and adjoining countries, it costs just R20 per pupil to engage in the competition.

This is a great activity to have the kids work on at home during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. It is educational, creative and is giving back at the same time! There are awesome kids prizes up for grabs as well as a prize for the school with the most entries!

Please can you share this with family, friends and kids all over the world! International entries are permitted.
