If you have to get out of bed in this chilly weather- it may as well be to go somewhere extra cozy (where they also happen to serve amazing coffee and pizza)… Come and snuggle up in front of our roaring fire and enjoy a bowl of hot homemade chicken soup while the kids brave the cold in our play area or do some crafts at The Glitter Factory.


Purple Tulip

The Green Garden Café is a family friendly restaurant situated inside The Purple Tulip plant nursery. It is open 7 days a week 8am to 5pm. It is a family run business with the attention to customer service and excellent home-made food. We have a first class Chef and support staff. Free Wi-Fi is also available. If you just want a coffee or join us for breakfast or lunch, you will enjoy the service, the peaceful surroundings & delicious food. Our food is home-made, healthy, & freshly prepared.


Tres Jolie Restaurant

Trés Jolie is a country restaurant and venue in the Ruimsig area of Gauteng. Located on a 5 hectare property it is characterised by exquisite gardens and landscaped with fountains and water features this picturesque restaurant also boasts a farmyard where children can feed the animals, enjoy a pony ride and play whilst under the watchful eye of their parents


Buitengeluk Broadacres

This Cape Dutch inspired space incorporates many exquisite features including two fires places; high rise windows and doors that bleed out into the manicured gardens. The unique sense of a bygone era is created through paintings, vintage chairs and many other beautifully appointed finishing touches that are the perfect setting for any event.

Conveniently located within 20 minutes’ drive from Krugersdorp and 30 minutes’ drive from Sandton and Centurion, within The Cradle of Humankind lies THE THATCH CAFE surrounded by the X-STREAM Bike and Adventure Park along side The RHINO & LION Nature Reserve.


PWC Bike Park

The PwC Bike Park is Gauteng’s home of adventure and skills for mountain bikers, trail runners, corporate events and kid’s parties. Whether you’re a member, visiting for the day, renting a bike or testing out your new 29er – there is something here for everyone.


Dinokeng

An hours drive from Fourways is Dinokeng Game Reserve is the first free-roaming Big 5 residential game reserve in Gauteng – and probably in the world – next to an urbanized area. It is a private/public initiative for which planning and development started in the early 2000’s. It was officially opened on 22 September 2011 after the introduction of four of the Big 5. The last of the Big 5, the buffalo, were introduced in late 2012 and they have settled in well.


Montecasino Bird Gardens

Montecasino Bird Gardens will keep the younger animal-lovers (aged 7 to 14) well entertained, with an exciting holiday programme. For just R 145 per child per day, the extraordinary holiday programme will run from 08h30 until 14h30 daily. Your child will be presented with opportunities to make new friends while participating in fun and interactive activities including arts & crafts, meeting the show birds behind the scenes, vegetable gardening, snake handling as well as the Flight of Fantasy Show and so much more.


Avalanche Cedar Square

They are open every day from 08:30 until late. Enjoy Skiing, Snowboarding, Bumboarding and Tubing on our 65 meter ski slope as well as awesome pizza and refreshments!
